Last night was the MTV Video Music Awards, and as per usual it was filled with stars, and outstanding performances from BLACKPINK, & Lizzo, but tonight was definitely Taylor Swift's night. After making a surprise appearance on the red carpet, wearing a dress reminiscent of her “reputation” era which drove Swifties insane trying to decipher all the easter eggs in it, she went on to win 3 awards including Video of the year for her short film “All Too Well”.

During her acceptance speech for video of the year, she dropped the biggest bombshell of the night by announcing she would release her 10th studio album on October 21st, 2022, and asking fans to meet her online at midnight. As expected Twitter was a buzz and fans myself included were stoked. Once Midnight hit she unveiled her 10th studio album Midnights.

Currently, Swift is in the process of re-recording her first six studio albums, and since announcing the incredible project has released two of the six, so to release an entirely new album in the middle of her rerecords is absolutely insane!
